School in Andrew will begin on time tomorrow, January 17. Thank you to all our families who have had to be flexible to respond to all these no school days due to weather. We are extremely excited to return to a normal schedule with students. We are also very hopeful the worst of the winter is almost behind us. Travel safe in the morning.

Andrew Families,

Thanks,

Due to the impending winter storm the Andrew School will be closed on Friday, January 12, 2024.
Parents/Guardians, just a reminder that the next quarter of LEAP starts next Tuesday, January 16th. Please make sure your students get their forms turned in. Thank you.
Families,
I just wanted to remind you and your children that to play on/in the snow they need to have: boots, a coat, a hat, gloves, and snow pants. If they don't have all of these, they will need to stay on the blacktop and play. Thanks for helping your child have the materials needed to play safely in the snow. It might not be a bad idea to send a bag with a full set of extra clothes in case they get wet when they play.
Thanks for your assistance,
Andrew Staff
Andrew families...we have been watching this storm closely in hopes that we could still have at least a partial day of school tomorrow. Unfortunately, we are going to need to cancel school and wanted you to have as much notice as possible. There will be no school on Wednesday, January 10.
The Andrew School District will be canceling school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9 due to the winter storm warning.

Andrew Community,
One of the greatest things we can give during this season is blood. By donating blood you can save a life and at the same time help the students raise funds for classroom materials. Below is a flyer, QR Code, and a person to contact to get signed up. I hope to see you there!!
Take your family for a stroll through downtown Maquoketa, read the great Jan Brett book The Animals' Santa, and then stop at the Maquoketa Public Library Children's Room to select your own reward book from the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. It's one of the benefits of being in a community full of great partnerships!
